We believe in giving back to the community that’s given us so much. As the region’s most fearless, results driven communications firm, we’re in the business of making waves that make a difference — for our clients as well as the Greater Milwaukee area.
Project Ripple Effect™ is just one of many examples of how Zizzo Group Advertising + PR gives back and is helping make our community a better place to live, work and play. We consider it a privilege to be a founding sponsor and provide strategic marketing counsel, advertising and website development services for this dynamic initiative.
So please, join us, get involved in Project Ripple Effect™. After all, goodness spreads.
You often hear the term “business community” as if businesses exist separately of the rest of the Milwaukee community. That’s not true.
The Business Journal Serving Greater Milwaukee realizes that business is made up of individuals who are part of our overall community. And only as our entire community thrives, will business thrive.
The Business Journal has a proud tradition of service. Our staff provides leadership to dozens of local non-profit boards — from the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee, to Junior Achievement, to Milwaukee Mentors, to the Milwaukee Ballet and Milwaukee Symphony, to Sam’s Hope, and many, many more.
Within the last year, that service has earned the publication many awards including the United Community Center’s Friend of the Hispanic, the Leader’s Forum’s Diversity in Action, the Next Door Foundation’s Business of the Year, and more.
But we’re not satisfied. Southeastern Wisconsin has many more needs and Project Ripple Effect™ is going to be start of something big… something that makes our community stronger.
At 99.1 WMYX, we believe in making a difference - not just on the air, but also in the lives of others and in our community. Each year, employees set aside one day to participate in Make a Difference Day, a company-wide initiative that provides community-based charitable work for a variety of humanitarian causes. High ethical standards and community outreach are a way of life at 99.1 WMYX.
We’re committed to making positive contributions to the communities we serve, and that’s why we believe so strongly in what our friends from Project Ripple Effect do - they are an important connection between those in need and those who want to help.
If all of us give just an hour a week to a cause that matters, think of the effect on our city, our communities, not to mention our culture. Join us in making a difference, in the lives of others and in our community.
The P&H® trademark has been a symbol of excellence for over 100 years, since Alonzo Pawling and Henry Harnischfeger founded the business in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1884. Today, P&H Mining Equipment is a world leader in surface mining equipment for the extraction of ores and minerals.
P&H Mining Equipment, and its parent organization Joy Global Inc., believes it is not enough to just live and work in a community. You must also be an active part of it. We encourage our employees to participate in civic, charitable, educational, and cultural organizations with the goal of increasing the overall quality of life for those locally and globally.
As members of the legal profession, Michael Best and its attorneys recognize their obligation to strengthen our community. Michael Best always has served charitable and civic groups designed to help persons and organizations of limited means. We realize that our greatest impact may not only occur in high-profile, landmark cases, but also occurs when helping organizations that truly affect our daily lives and the lives of others.
Participating in Project Ripple Effect™ aligns well with Michael Best’s community relations objectives, and we are optimistic that the good works associated with this initiative will reflect well on the firm, the attorneys and staff

Giving back to the community is nothing new to Alverno College. Community service began as early as 1887, the year in which Alverno’s precursor was founded by the School Sisters of St. Francis. Imbedded in each student’s education are eight required abilities including Effective Citizenship. Alverno students, with enthusiasm and passion, hold food, blood and clothing drives, step up with fundraising activities when devastation hits our country, assist area nonprofits with various projects, and carry their community service into their personal lives.
In addition to the contributions of its students, Alverno’s faculty work tirelessly to improve K-12 education, which is critical to our nation’s future. The college boasts the longest running performing arts series in the city, Alverno Presents, which brings in diverse artists from all over the country; and Global Union, a free festival of world music for all to enjoy, learn from and experience.
